“The most important relationship you have in life is the relationship you have with yourself.”
What does it mean to have a great relationship with you? To be content with your life and accept you for who you are as a person. For many of us the idea of having a relationship with ourselves sounds bizarre, but if we’re being honest; we all think about ourselves, we constantly analyse our feelings and our emotions, we spend our days reacting to the world around and we all have inner conversations.
How can we enrich the relationship with ourselves…
1. Take care of yourself. Mind and body.
2. Appreciate what you have.
3. Spend time with ‘you’ and become your own best friend.
4. Take a chance and have fun.
5. Connect with people like you.
6. Clear all the negative thoughts and let go of all expectations.
Self- loving yoga pose for everybody…
Apanasana – Knees-to-Chest pose
Lie down on your back and draw your knees towards your chest and place both hands onto your shins.
Soften the shoulders and allow the back of your body to relax and fall heavy into the mat.
Continue to breathe, soften the eyes and the jaw and enjoy the gentle rhythm and back-soothing properties of Apanasana.
After a minute or two lie in Shavasana for a few minutes, absorbing how you feel.
Do you love and accept yourself for exactly who you are?. What do you believe is the best way to enrich your relationship with ‘you’?
