Healthy Eating In Perth

November 25, 2015

Are you looking for delicious and healthy eateries when travelling? Wellness Advisor Kavisha Jega has you covered. This month she explores the sunny state of Perth…just in time for Summer!

Little Bird Café

100 Lake Street, Northbridge // @littlebirdcafe

This wholesome wholefood café located in Perth’s busy Northbridge is packed and pumping most days of the week. Known for their healthy breakfast and lunch options, their diary-free smoothies and delicious cakes, you’ll have to visit more than once to try out their extensive menu. For breakfast I would highly recommend the visually appealing and delicious buckwheat coconut pancake, or the tasty breakfast bruchetta. In my opinion they also serve both the best chai latte and smoothies in Perth- my faves are the peanut butter and the gingerbread smoothies with vegan protein. Whether to sit and work or a casual catch with friends, this welcoming eatery caters to all.

The Market Juicery

 Shop 2 139-141 Oxford Street, Leederville // @themarketjuicery

The BEST smoothie and smoothie bowls in Perth, hands down. With an extensive menu this is the perfect place to fuel up and grab a takeaway smoothie on a hot Perth’s day. My favourite is the Jaffa smoothie- a thick chocolate orange dream. They also have a small range of savoury foods and a large variety of raw treats and desserts. Friendly service.

Manna Wholefoods & Cafe

 274 South Terrace, South Fremantle // @mannawholefoods

A healthy whole food cafe that uses fresh, local and organic produce where possible. Hot and cold foods available with a lunch set up that’s hard to beat. The salads and veggie patties are my go to. Delicious smoothies, cakes and raw desserts are hard to go past too. Have a browse in the health food store next door after your meal.

The Raw Kitchen

181a High St, Fremantle // @rawkitchenfreo

Raw food at it’s best. The space is beautiful and the food is pretty good too. With a unique and innovative menu, it’s best to share to get a taste of everything. The raw nachos are never a let down. Smoothie are delicious and made with house made almond milk. Don’t leave without trying the house made vegan ice cream too!

The Little Shop of Plenty

217 Railway Parade, Maylands // @thelittleshopofplenty

A cute welcoming space in Maylands. Everything is made from pure, raw whole food ingredients and organic where possible. The Paleo power plate is a favourite of mine as well as their rooibos lattes made with house made almond milk. The lunch salad bowls are a crowd favourite too. Leave room for dessert, it’s worth it!

Solomon’s Cafe

487 Beaufort Street, Highgate // @solomons_cafe

An old favourite, Solomons serve made-from-scratch, chef-crafted whole foods with a close to 100% organic menu. A great place to sit and work or relax, they’re open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Can’t go past the Viva la vegan or the sardines on pumpkin paleo bread for breakfast/brunch or the bio-dynamic beef burger, tomato relish, cashewed’ kale and sauerkraut on grainless toast.
